Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join their team based in Sutton Coldfield. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This position requires a skilled professional who can maintain financial records, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and assist with financial reporting.
Duties for the bookkeeper will include but not be limited to the following:
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Handle payroll and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other regulatory documents.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Liaise with other departments to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies.
The ideal Candidate for the Bookkeeper role will have the following:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper is essential.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
Hours for this role are 9am 5:15pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.
