Litigation Attorney Position
Looking for a qualified and admitted litigation attorney, to be employed as an associate/professional assistant at the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in general litigation, both High Court and Magistrate’s Court.
- Must be able to work unsupervised and have an appetite for litigation.
- Should have excellent drafting skills and be confident in court.
- Must be computer literate and well versed in Outlook, Word, and Excel; must be able to do own typing.
Compensation:
Salary will consist of a basic salary plus a commission structure on fees brought in. Generally, even a newly appointed attorney averages about R22,000 – R25,000 per month at my firm. An attorney with 5 – 10 years of experience should easily manage to earn R30,000.
There is an existing client base to work from, and an associate should build and/or expand their client base as well. This provides a good platform for any diligent and hardworking attorney to grow from.
