Position overview: As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform various maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of branches and pods. Your duties include general handyman work, small electrical repairs, painting, welding, grinding, and furniture maintenance. You will also be tasked with high-access cleaning and pod maintenance, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and functional. You will also be required to travel excessively between branches and buying pods.
Responsibilities:
- General Handyman and Repair Work:
- Perform small maintenance tasks at branches and pods.
- Electrical Repairs:
- Conduct general electrical repairs as needed.
- Painting:
- Handle various painting tasks, ensuring a neat and professional finish.
- Welding:
- Perform welding tasks as required.
- Grinding:
- Carry out grinding functions with precision.
- Concrete Wall Touch-ups:
- Perform touch-ups and repairs on concrete walls.
- Furniture Maintenance:
- Maintain and repair furniture to ensure it is in good condition.
- Repair or replace door hinges, handles, and locks.
- High Access Cleaning at Branches:
- Clean and maintain high access areas, including:
- Walls, wall-mounted posters, lights, pillars, cameras, speakers, TVs, and windows.
- Pod Maintenance:
- Conduct thorough cleaning of pods, both interior and exterior.
- Sweep and maintain paving areas around pods.
- Report daily to the regional or national facilities manager on tasks done, tasks that cannot be done, or any other issues regarding work, security risks, or health and safety risks at branches.
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12
- Experience in the same/similar role is advantageous.
