I am delighted to be partnering with this entrepreneurial start-up to appoint a People Advisor to join their rapidly growing business. Based in Central Manchester, this thriving business have a lovely culture and there is a shared passion throughout to achieve success whilst remaining a people-focused employer. Hybrid working with a couple of days per week in the office.
This is an integral role within the People team and is responsible for supporting the HR team to deliver an exceptional service to their colleagues and clients. The role is ideally suited to an experienced HR Advisor with generalist experience. Whilst it will be an ER focused role, there is certainly a generalist HR remit, with lots of scope to get involved in wider HR activities and projects, such as ED&I, wellbeing and employee engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Collaborate closely with the Employee Relations Manager to manage your caseload effectively, ensuring a consistent and robust approach to employee relations matters.
- Coaching and Guidance: Serve as a key contact for managers, employees, and the wider HR team, offering coaching, guidance, and support on a wide range of people-related queries.
- Manager Support: Empower and guide managers and leaders to become more self-reliant in managing their teams, while ensuring all actions are in line with legal compliance.
- HR Systems: Act as the primary 'super user' for the HR system, ensuring data accuracy, GDPR compliance, and suggesting innovative technology solutions to enhance daily operations.
- Policy, Process, and Procedure: Partner with the People Manager to drive continuous improvement of existing HR policies and processes. This includes streamlining workflows, challenging the status quo, and ensuring efficiency across the business.
- HR Projects: Assist the People Manager with key HR initiatives, such as wellbeing programs, employee engagement, diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I) efforts, and reward and recognition schemes.
- Data and Reporting: Provide data-driven insights by producing reports that help optimize people management and processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
About you:
- Proven track record working in a HR Advisor capacity in a fast-paced environment
- CIPD qualified or equivalent is highly desirable
- Strong ER case management experience including absence/sickness, grievances, disciplinary and performance management
- Strong communicator with influencing and relationship management skills
- Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise and work with autonomy
