General Accountant
The General Accountant will be supporting the existing financial team with the reconciliation of day-to-day transactions and oversight of the month-end cut-off processing for a clean trial balance and accurate management accounts, and offer technical support to the general staff for accurate processing.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Process the daily cashbook
- Monthly reconciliation of creditors statements to supporting documentation
- Management of the accounts receivables aging and collections on debtors
- Preparation of annual budgets
- Reconcile daily cash ups
- Validate customer credit applications
- Process Monthly Salaries & Weekly Wages journals
- Timely preparations and submission of PAYE, VAT, and COIDA returns
- Liaise with external auditors and consultants
- Provide technical support to operational staff
- Other ad hoc tasks
- Facilitate stock take
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 3 years experience in a similar role on Pastel; Kerridge K8, SAP experience would be advantageous
Package & Remuneration
CTC – R25k-R35k
