Medium-sized Engineering firm based in Pretoria East is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate must have a completed B.Com degree in Accounting with completed articles.
Duties & Responsibilities
Qualifications: - Completed B. Com Accounting
- Completed SAICA articles
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Experience within an accounting firm
- Mining experience will be advantageous
Skills: Job Description: - Full Accounting function within an accounting firm
- Preparation of monthly reconciliations including age analysis
- Perform export debtors’ function for manufacturing division and follow up on long outstanding receivables to ensure no bad debt occurs
- Reconcile invoices
- Provisioning of monthly cost accruals through reconciliation of accounts and supplier statements at month end
- Remain up to date with IFRS requirements
- Make necessary provisions in the accounts in line with IFRS
- Ensure necessary internal control systems are in place for processes in area of responsibility
