ELECTRICIAN – KULU ECO-SERVICES
Role description
Core responsibilities – The candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems at the waste treatment plant. They will need to ensure electrical systems are safe, functional, and up to code.
Additional responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance:
Install wiring, control, and lighting systems.
Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers.
Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.
Repair and Replacement:
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
Ensure systems comply with applicable codes and safety regulations.
Blueprints and Schematics:
Read blueprints or technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.
Follow safety protocols to prevent electrical shocks, falls, and other injuries.
Testing and Diagnostics:
Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
Troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and safety.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate with clients to understand their electrical needs and provide recommendations.
Provide cost estimates for electrical services.
You will report to the Site Manager, unless otherwise required by the company.
The requirements are as follows:
Electrical qualifications,
Completion of a technical school or apprenticeship program,
Must have own vehicle,
At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role and environment (manufacturing),
Extensive experience in the maintenance of electrical equipment in a processing environment, preferably in waste and/or wastewater treatment,
Knowledge of implementing planned maintenance systems,
Must be able to lead and manage people,
Must be willing to work night and/or weekend shifts.
Strong problem-solving skills, manual dexterity, ability to read blueprints, and knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
