Introduction

An Agritalent client, a leading agribusiness, seeks a Millwright in its production environment.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Artisan to install, maintain, test, and commission electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems at the plant, as well as work on electrical transmission and distribution equipment and carry out preventative maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Reduce breakdowns and downtimes periods in the relevant business unit to limit unnecessary costs.
Install, maintain, repair, and commission electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems at the plant, as well as work on electrical transmission and distribution equipment.
Report machine failure and breakdowns to management, record it on the daily log sheet, and ensure job cards are filled in correctly and signed off by the relevant manager.
Continuously improve all equipment and installation measures.
Ensure preventative scheduled maintenance is done as scheduled and machinery functions optimally on a continuous basis.
Comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements as per Company standards and procedures.
Continuously do fault finding and problem solving on electrical equipment.
Liaise with internal departments on an ongoing basis to ensure the quality of services and products.
Complete all compulsory training interventions.
Mentor employees to follow standard practices and processes to ensure quality services and less downtime in the relevant business unit.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Grade 12/NQF4.
Strong mechanical and electrical experience in both fields is essential.
Code B driver's license.
Valid Trade Certificate: Millwright is essential.
Clear Criminal Record.
