Confectioner required for a renowned retail store based in Mthatha
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare, cook, and assemble a variety of confections, including chocolates, candies, truffles, and pastries.
- Follow recipes and techniques to ensure consistent quality and presentation of products.
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to develop unique and exciting confections.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, and assist with ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to design and create seasonal and custom confectionery items.
- Provide excellent customer service, including handling special requests and custom orders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Confectioner, Pastry Chef, or in a similar role with a strong understanding of confectionery techniques and practices.
- Knowledge of candy and chocolate-making processes, as well as decorating and presentation skills.
- Creative flair and a passion for developing new and exciting confectionery products.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
