Main Job Function
The primary responsibilities of this position are, but not limited to:
- Receiving components from suppliers
- Issuing components to workshop and team leaders
- Data capturing on Job-Sys
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or Equivalent NQF level
- Valid Driver’s licence
- Must be computer literate
- Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
- Knowledge of electrical components will be to your advantage
- Previous storeroom experience will be to your advantage
Criteria
- Check delivery and process of goods received against delivery note, purchase order and unload
- Wrap/pack goods and deliver to courier when required
- Ensure that all stock is labelled and placed in the correct category
- Carry out random stock checks/validation on individual items as well as assisting with major stock takes/checks
- Local deliveries and collections as and when required
- Prepare equipment and stock for forthcoming jobs
- Issue components to workshop, team leaders or job
- Check-in and prepare equipment for maintenance and repair
- Ensure that the storeroom is kept clean and tidy and complies with health and safety legislation
- Use of forklift for loading/unloading of goods/equipment (Training will be provided)
- Ensure that tools/equipment are kept in good repair (i.e. forklift, small hand tools, drill, winch, etc.)
- Compile re-order lists of consumables
- Assist with driving duties and maintenance of vehicles
Remuneration: R15 000 per month
