RPO Recruitment is currently looking for a talented Industrial Engineer to join their client's esteemed logistics services company, located in Johannesburg. This role is vital in enhancing efficiency and optimising production processes within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process upgrades
- Prepare detailed reports on production performance and operational efficiency
- Design and optimize layouts to maximize workflow and minimize waste
- Train and mentor staff on new protocols and best practices
- Manage project timelines and ensure adherence to budget constraints
- Play a key role in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing practices
- Conduct regular assessments of production equipment and processes
- Support the development of production standards and quality control measures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing/logistics environment
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making
- Proficiency in process mapping and Lean methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and engineering simulation software
