Our client is looking for a focused and committed Automotive Debt Recovery Agent responsible for managing and executing the recovery of debts related to abandoned and unpaid vehicles in the Automotive Industry.
This role involves working closely with dealerships, workshops and panel beaters by offering a comprehensive solution to ensure effective recovery processes, negotiating with debtors, and maintaining accurate records of all recovery activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of debt recovery laws and regulations.
Remuneration: R 11 000 – R 15 000 per month depending on experience & qualifications, plus performance-based Incentive – Benefits include fuel and business laptop.
Duties include: Debt Recovery Process Management: - Initiate and manage the recovery process for abandoned and unpaid vehicles.
- Contact debtors to negotiate payment terms and settlements.
- Coordinate with dealerships to verify debt information and recovery status.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance: - Ensure all debt recovery activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Prepare and file necessary legal documents to facilitate recovery processes.
Record Keeping and Reporting: - Maintain detailed and accurate records of all communications and recovery activities.
- Prepare regular reports on recovery status, success rates, and outstanding debts.
Customer and Client Interaction: - Act as a liaison between debtors and dealerships, workshops, panel beaters, facilitating clear communication.
- Provide exceptional customer service to maintain positive relationships with all clients.
Financial Transactions: - Process payments and settlements in accordance with company policies.
- Track and report on financial recoveries and outstanding amounts.
Requirements: - Must have min 2-3 years Automotive experience
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- PC literate – MS Office Suite / Any debt recovery software a bonus
- Knowledge of relevant debt recovery laws and regulations
- Integrity and professionalism
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Technical vehicle knowledge
- Self and Target Driven
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Resilient and able to handle difficult conversations with debtors and high-level blue-chip companies
- Valid Drivers License
General: - Office based role with occasional travel to clients as required
- Full time position with standard business hours and occasional extended hours to meet recovery deadlines.
