Our client is looking for an experienced Head Guide/Safari Manager to lead their safari team at their prestigious 5-star game lodge. This role involves overseeing all guiding activities, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and promoting conservation efforts within our reserve.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of field guides, providing training, mentorship, and support.
- Plan and conduct guided game drives, walks, and specialized safari activities.
- Ensure the highest standards of guest service and satisfaction throughout the safari experience.
- Develop and implement educational programs related to wildlife and conservation for guests and staff.
- Maintain and manage equipment and vehicles, ensuring operational readiness and safety.
- Collaborate with lodge management on conservation initiatives and overall guest experience enhancement.
- Uphold the lodge’s reputation by fostering a culture of respect, professionalism, and environmental stewardship.
Requirements: - FGASA Level 2 (NQF4) or higher certification.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Proven experience in a guiding role, preferably in a luxury lodge environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Passion for wildlife conservation and commitment to excellence in guest service.
