Location: Atlantis, approx. 50 km outside of CT center

Overall Responsibility:
Deliver an insights based channel strategy that supports the business growth objectives by driving the Perfect store concept with the latter being availability, range and assortment planning, defining and setting category management standards with the intent of improving the overall shopper experience and by so doing contribute to achieving brand share and profitability targets.
Main responsibilities of Focus Area
Focus Area 1: Deliver channel strategy in channel and customer
Define segmentation opportunities within category
Develop long term segmentation vision and plan for the development of the category
Define the Categories and channels that the company needs to participate in
Develop and Agree Category Strategic Objectives
Assess and Recommend Strategic Options
Develop Category Forecast that overlay with sales
Develop and Manage Category Budget
Manage Category Profitability and range
Develop a Category Pricing Strategy
Plan and lead Category Management
Projects to optimize range Support Tier 3 launches through execution of category management responsibilities
Focus Area 2: Deliver category and consumer insights through data Management, Insights and Reporting
Gather shopper, consumer, competitor and category data and information derived from various internal and external sources
Analyze information to gather insights and determine, competitor, category and consumer trends
Compile insights (not just data/reporting) derived from a variety of sources
Interpret, review and report on information in order to identify gaps and deliver insights to the organisation
Monthly performance monitoring & presentation for both Marketing & Sales (management meeting)
Report on and provide insights on sales and market trends with a proposed course of action
Perfect Store outlet execution & performance analysis
Monitor and update monthly KPI scorecards
Measuring ROI
Develop a product mix, profitability model by channel & account
Measure ROS vs. sell in (monthly risk) Weekly review of customer Webi reports
Update and Maintain Sales metrics dashboard
Develop insights through key account shopper data
Focus Area 3: Planning
Assortment planning: planning the product range and proposing which products should be added and/or eliminated from the range
Floor Planning: planning the layout of the store while considering the store flow, aisle spacing and creation of hot spots.
Product Price Planning: the target market of each store must be analysed to ensure that the correct product range is chosen to suit their price needs.
Promotion Planning: the planning and implementation of promotions and supporting implementation of marketing and customer strategies.
Focus Area 4: Deliver insights and intrade launch and coverage plan
Support innovation process and new launches through solid insights and in market action plans
Plan and execute NPD projects with support of Brand teams
Support Tier 3 launches through the category management process
Be agile in identifying potential Innovation Opportunities through in-market feedback and formal insights
Execute duties in line with NPD process and actively participate in delivering the commercial proposition of a project
Monitor and feedback on success of NPD rollouts across sell in, volume and availability and propose cause correction/s where required
Conduct post launch analysis on NPD and provide insights into areas of development and penetration into market
Focus Area 5: Retail Management
Drive Category Management by key customer by region by cluster
Optimize shelf space and product allocation
The perfect store concept developed and implemented for channels and by customer
Responsible for visual merchandising.
Influencing delivery of standards through the use of planograms and effective use of point of sale and offshelf opportunities
Support Export market drive where so required
Requirements of the Role
Qualification: Degree in Marketing or Business Management or Sales/Category Management
Experience: >5 Years Marketing/Category Management/ Trade Marketing experience in FMCG environment
Computer Skills (MS Office)
Business Acumen
Financial/Budget Management
Demonstrated analytical ability with indepth knowledge of Circana/Nielsen and other consumer and shopper research methodologies
