JOB PURPOSE
The SPA Manager establishes team leadership and coordination Represents the spa in a cordial, efficient and professional manner while maintaining a commitment to customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- In a professional, persuasive and friendly manner effectively drive treatment delivery to meet targets by encouraging guests to purchase SPA services and products
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the SPA with initiative and creativity
- Be on duty seven days each week. (Hours will vary according to itinerary)
- Always be on duty at least 10 minutes before the advertised opening time of the SPA to allow you to make a quick check of the premises before doors are open for business
- Continuously monitors services provided by staff and formulate action plans to resolve problem areas to ensure continual improvement of service initiatives
- In home ports (or any other port), be available to assist with the loading of merchandise, and distribution to storage areas or SPA
- When the SPA is closed, cooperate with colleagues in the following duties: Stock control, SPA arrangements, Window decoration
- Demonstrate excellent product knowledge of all merchandise sold in the SPA
- Exercise extreme care with all articles for sale in the SPA.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations within the SPA
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient speaking, reading, and writing skills in English, and fluency in at least 2 of the following languages: German, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Chinese. Any other language is considered as advantageous
- 3+ years as Spa Manager on a Cruise Ship
- Beauty/Cosmotolegy/Spa Qualification or Diploma.
- Strong PC Skills using Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook or equivalent mail client application
- Proven accounting skills, marketing strategy and the ability to lead the group to meet new goals
