Our client in Ottery, Cape Town is looking to appoint a Shift Supervisor in Production. The Shift Supervisor oversees Shift's operations to ensure a competent team delivers Quality Products On Time In Full.

Qualifications
- Matric Qualification with 5+ years’ experience in a similar role in a factory environment.
- 5+ years of practical experience at a supervisory level.

LABOUR
Labour Allocation
- Allocate tasks and responsibilities to team members based on skills and workload.
- Ensure efficient use of manpower to meet production goals.
Headcount vs Output, meet Budget.
- Monitor workforce productivity and adjust staffing as needed to meet production targets and manage labour costs within budget constraints.
Skills Matrix, Training & Assessment Plans
- Maintain a skills matrix to identify training needs and gaps.
- Develop and implement training plans to enhance team members' skills.
- Assess team members' performance and provide feedback for improvement.
Certify Timesheets
- Review and certify timesheets to ensure accurate recordkeeping of working hours.
Conduct Performance Reviews of Line Leaders
- Evaluate the performance of line leaders under your supervision.
- Provide constructive feedback and support their professional development.
- Handling of Disciplinary following company policy:
- Address disciplinary issues promptly and in line with company policies.
- Implement corrective actions as necessary while ensuring fairness.
MATERIAL
Translution Competent
- Oversee material handling and inventory management using the Translution system.
- Ensure accurate tracking of materials throughout the production process.
Job Management (Lead Investigation):
- Investigate and address any issues related to production jobs.
- Take the lead in resolving problems to maintain efficient operations.
Variance Report
- Analyze production variances from set targets and take corrective actions.
OUTPUT OTIF (On Time In Full)
- Monitor production output to ensure it meets quality standards and delivery schedules.
Shift Target Setting
- Set clear production targets for the shift based on overall goals and available resources.
Dashboard Capturing/Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date shift-related data for reporting purposes.
- Generate and share shift performance dashboards with relevant stakeholders.
Planning to address/mitigate risks & problems
- Identify potential risks and issues and develop proactive plans to address them.
Lead Debrief Meeting
- Conduct debrief meetings with the shift team to discuss performance, challenges, and improvements.
SYSTEMS
Translution
- Ensure proper utilisation of the Translution system for accurate material tracking.
Mango:
- Manage data and processes within the Mango system to ensure compliance and efficiency.
COMPLIANCE
Safety Procedures
- Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Production Process
- Ensure adherence to established production processes and workflows.
Documentations (SOPs, Specs)
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and specifications as needed.
Quality Standards
- Ensure that production meets quality standards and take corrective actions if deviations occur.
