Primary responsibilities:
Increase revenue and overall company turnover:
- Responsible for the collections made on key accounts assigned.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and leverage self-service BI tools for enhanced function performance.
- Identify strategies to reduce costs and increase revenue.
Generate insights and analytics:
- Look for trends in data to identify potential solutions to address recurring queries.
- Liaise with key individuals to ensure source data discrepancies are rectified and create strategies to increase collection rates. Generate insights by analysing handovers, collections, and failures while looking at possible trends.
Reporting:
- Provide reports to internal and external clients. Collaborate with data teams and the business to design data analysis and reporting solutions. Perform testing to ensure information meets requirements and accurately reflects source data.
Stakeholder and team engagement"
- Collaborate with internal clients to ensure processes and products align with business requirements.
- Analyse data and feedback from clients and management. Proactively propose improvements to processes and reporting solutions to enhance the analytics offering.
- Share knowledge and learnings with the team. Participate in cross-collaborative projects to drive process improvement and innovation. Verify logic of data extracts and analysis with team members.
Requirements:
Experience, Education, and technical skills:
- Diploma (NQF level 6) or bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Computer Science, Mathematics, IT, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in a data analytics role.
- Advantageous - Certifications in data analysis such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, etc.
- Data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.), and databases (SQL, Postgres SQL, etc.).
- Knowledge BI tools.
- Experience with financial / investment systems is advantageous.
- Power BI, Advanced Excel, Microsoft SQL, Postgres SQL, Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Compliance and regulatory knowledge, specifically NCA Act, POPIA, NCR, PASA, bank regulations, legal legislation, etc.
- Advance analytical reporting.
