Key Responsibilities
Monthly Tasks
- Prepare cash flow statements and management reports
- Analyze and interpret management data
- Review and approve debtors, credit notes, stock write-offs, and creditors
- Oversee payment schedules (monthly and weekly) and all balance sheet reconciliations
- Process month-end financial journals and maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Submit VAT and EMP returns on SARS e-filing
- Handle payroll preparation and submission
Bi-Annual Tasks
- Manage KPI process, set team KPI’s, and recommend salary increases/bonuses based on performance
- Prepare and submit provisional tax returns on SARS e-filing
Annual Tasks
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, audit schedules, and year-end audit journals
- Oversee the year-end audit process, review provisional AFS, and close the year in Acumatica
Operations Management
- Collaborate with operations to ensure efficient processes
- Monitor and review operational stats, 3PL costs, and stock integrity
- Review costing for imported/local stock and oversee stock takes at all warehouses
General & Ad-hoc Responsibilities
- Ensure data integrity across systems (Acumatica, Qlik, NetStock, Repsly)
- Maintain tax, accounting, and compliance standards
- Implement controls to streamline finance and operations and mitigate risks
- Lead and train team members, manage IT, HR, and payroll functions
- Ensure compliance with Foreign Exchange Control, CIPC, SARS, and DOL requirements
- Manage treasury and banking profiles and respond to ad-hoc requests from CFO, CEO, and Directors

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, complex IF formulas) and Microsoft 365 suite proficiency
- Familiarity with Acumatica or other ERP systems
- Adaptable to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, willing to be hands-on
Qualification Requirement:
- BCom/Business Science (Finance/Accounting Degree) from a university
Experience:
- 5 years experience in a similar role

- CFO
- Based in office in Westlake (Cape Town)
- Full time onsite
