Butchery Manager required for a renowned retail store based in Zwelitsha
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee and perform precise butchery tasks, including cutting, deboning, trimming, and portioning meat to meet quality standards.
- Ensure the butchery area is maintained to high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Supervise the storage and handling of meat products, ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering recommendations, and enhancing the customer experience.
- Manage inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, and oversee the ordering of supplies as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, implementing best practices for a safe working environment.
- Lead and train team members to maintain high operational standards and efficiency in the butchery department.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Butchery Manager or similar role, with a strong understanding of meat cutting and preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of meat quality, cuts, and proper handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and stand for extended periods.
