Overview
Hire Resolve’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Business Development Engineer in Cape Town, WC.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales opportunities for renewable energy solutions focusing on medium to large C&I projects.
- Work with internal team and/or customers to develop optimized technical solutions for renewable energy projects.
- Preliminary technical solution design, costing, and proposal write-up.
- Assist with client contract negotiations.
- Develop sales with new and existing accounts in assigned areas to meet business targets.
- Develop competitive strategies to achieve sales objectives and maintain knowledge of competitor activity.
- Provide input on the business plan to ensure sales sustainability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers within the industry.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years technical sales experience in renewable energy or related fields.
- Technical understanding of solar PV, battery energy storage systems, diesel generators, and electrical reticulation.
- Ability to work with customers and partners on technical questions and solutions.
- Ability to coordinate amongst multidisciplinary teams (both internally and externally).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and spoken.
- Ability to work well in a matrix organizational structure.
- Knowledge of project management will be advantageous.
- Previous large scale solar installations knowledge will be an advantage.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
