Minimum Requirements: - A relevant Doctoral Degree
- At least 3 years experience in higher education
- Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in Public and Constitutional Law
- A record of international and national accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer.
- A record of accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer
- Postgraduate supervision experience including successful Masters/Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer
Added Advantages - Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning
- Evidence of successful external fundraising for research.
- Evidence of supporting early career academics.
- Recognition in a chosen area of research (e.g., NRF rating).
- Evidence of networking and collaboration beyond one institution in research and/or teaching
- Evidence of community engagement integrated with teaching, learning or research
Duties: - Participate in research, curriculum design, development, and implementation
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules
- Meet research publication requirements for the academic rank of senior lecturer level
- Secure external research grants
- Supervise postgraduate students
- Establish institutional, regional or national collaborations
- Contribute to mentorship of emergent academic staff
- Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research
- Participate in administrative duties at departmental, faculty and university levels
