IT Applications Manager

Salary – £60,000 to £70,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We’re looking for an Applications Manager to join our growing IT Team at Welcome Break. This newly created role take ownership of key business applications, overseeing the application lifecycle while partnering with the business to provide support, guidance, governance and strategic direction.
Covering current and future applications, the role holder will also understand application architecture including integrations, data and controls, and will play a key part in future implementations and projects, helping to shape our future application landscape.
What will your role look like?
You will be responsible for:
The evolution and execution of Applications through our defined Application Strategy and roadmap
Own the end-to-end Application lifecycle from concept to retirement for defined key business applications including POS, Inventory, Finance, People, and Operations.
Managing all third-party software providers and support relationships with partners to ensure optimal performance
Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of Applications, including new applications and end-of-life legacy decommissioning – among BAU maintenance, upgrades, system health-checks and performance reporting
Supporting and pilot a programme of ‘business change resolution’ to allow quick definition, design and implementation of ‘low-code-no-code’ solutions
About you
Ideally we are looking for someone who has:
Experience working in a similar role (Applications Manager, Business Systems Manager, Senior Applications Analyst), ideally within the Retail, FMCG or Hospitality sector
Broad understanding of business systems applications, both technically and functionally, and Application Lifecycle Management within a complex, large scale, multi-site enterprise.
Previous exposure to Application implementation projects such as ERP, POS & HRIS
Experience in Governance, Risk, and Controls (GRC) in relation to Applications
