Health & Safety Officer
RPO Recruitment is collaborating with a leading packaging and plastics company, seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Officer to join their team. As a Health & Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees and promoting a safe working environment in the packaging and plastics industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement corrective measures
- Provide safety training and education to employees
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety
- Participate in safety committee meetings and assist in developing safety initiatives
- Stay updated on industry best practices and new developments in health and safety
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Health & Safety Officer in the packaging and plastics industry
- Relevant certification in health and safety management
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Proficient in conducting risk assessments and safety inspections
- Ability to handle and resolve safety-related issues effectively
