Position: Lodge Manager
Location: World renowned 5* safari property, Mpumalanga
Responsibilities:
- Manage the lodge to create a profound guest experience in line with the service vision and creative concept.
- Drive the broader goals of the company by planning and implementing strategic management plans.
- Management and training of lodge staff in line with the establishment's Standard of Excellence.
- Ensure ultimate guest relations and maintain personal attention levels.
- Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and maintenance.
- Effective financial management through the administration of orders and stock control.
- Maintain effective communication and relations within the lodge.
Minimum Requirements:
- Clear criminal record and excellent employment track record.
- A minimum of 6 years of work experience, ideally 2 years as a trainee and 4 years in a recognized five-star hotel or world-class lodge as a manager.
- Exceptional food and beverage knowledge.
- Financial management ability.
- High standards of service excellence and a passion for the industry.
- Exceptional English and a second language preferable.
- Good computer literacy.
- Understanding of basic labour law and disciplinary procedures.
- A developmental approach to staff.
- Understanding of housekeeping and maintenance procedures.
- Awareness of developments within the food and lodge industries and international trends in hospitality.

- Understanding of the etiquette involved in hosting high-end guests from different cultures.

Compensation and Benefits:
- CTC. NEG. DOE & Qualifications: Please advise your minimum salary expectation upon application.

- Annual bonus at the discretion of management, annual salary review, gratuities from guests or share in the general gratuity pool (TBC if included for this role).
- Work cycle: 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off + annual leave of up to a maximum of 24 days.
