Our client, a prominent brand in Private Higher Education, is looking for a motivated and committed IT Faculty Head. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting key performance objectives through effective academic leadership and management. You will play a vital role in building and maintaining innovative, high-quality teaching, optimizing resource utilization, and enhancing educational standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in the Information Technology field.
A PhD is highly favorable
A minimum of 5 years of experience at an academic institution.
At least 5 years of experience in the IT sector.
Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) platforms.
Experience with international certifications and accreditations such as CompTIA, Cisco etc.
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Office 365.
Experience with research and relevant publications.
Proven ability to manage projects and lead cross-functional teams, both technical and non-technical.
Ability to set high expectations, establish challenging goals, and drive toward successful outcomes.
Dependable and responsible in fulfilling obligations.
Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Open-minded and creative when tackling work-related challenges.
Ability to strictly follow policies, procedures, and work regulations.
Proficiency in statistical software.
Understanding of research ethics.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to provide direction and make decisive choices.
Skilled in negotiation, influence, and persuasion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Provide strategic guidance to strengthen the faculty's academic identity.
Foster a supportive educational atmosphere for Programme Heads, Coordinators, Facilitators, and Lecturers.
Serve as the leading visionary by driving the creation of new, forward-thinking content aligned with future job market demands.
Lead the development and execution of strategies to establish the department as a leader in its discipline, competing with international counterparts.
Human Resource Management:
Oversee the recruitment, selection, and appointment process for faculty members across the country.
Manage and support the ongoing professional development of all faculty staff.
Conduct quarterly performance reviews and implement the company’s performance management policies, providing coaching and mentorship as needed, including managing disciplinary issues.
Encourage personal and professional growth within the team.
Marketing and Brand Building:
Approve annual programme content updates for the faculty and communicate relevant updates.
Support and advise campus staff on developing and implementing engaging faculty activities for open days.
Assist corporate marketing by contributing relevant information for promotional materials.
Position the company and its brand as a key player in the education and industry sectors.
Help market the company’s products and services to current and prospective stakeholders.
Academic Management:
Enforce company policies and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
Contribute to the development and review of curricula and programmes within the faculty.
Research and integrate new technologies to align learning materials with industry standards.
Build strong professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Establish partnerships with national and international entities.
Represent the faculty at workshops and conferences.
Support the Academic Dean in preparing the faculty’s budget.
Validate and approve academic progress reports and transcripts.
Manage the development of learning materials and ensure quality academic content delivery.
Design learning strategies that cater to students’ academic needs.
Understand and apply the educational regulatory framework.
Identify opportunities for international academic collaborations.
