Our client, a leader in their field, is looking for a dynamic Financial Manager to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial and tax compliance, reporting and internal controls for the Group.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing internal control procedures and compliance to accounting standards and legislation
- Proposing and implementing improved control procedures as required
- Finalising and reviewing annual financial statements of all Group entities
- Monitoring working capital, managing capex spend vs. budget and reporting on variances
- Mitigating foreign exchange fluctuations
- Preparing management accounts, Exco and quarterly Board packs
- Managing the annual budget process and bi-annual forecasts
- Collating all reports for Group management reporting and preparing Group financial reports
- Meeting all statutory and year end reporting requirements
- Managing all insurance requirements
- Providing effective leadership of the finance team and performance outcomes
Requirements:
- B.Comm in Accounting with registration as Professional Accountant (SAIPA) or CA (SA) or CIMA
- 5 years experience as a Financial Manager, with a proven track record of success in managing a finance team
- Knowledge of Syspro
- Advanced skills in MS Office
- Strategic and commercial mindset
- Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work with multiple deadlines and under pressure to accomplish business objectives
