A cutting-edge technology company currently undertaking a digital transformation are looking for a talented Engineering Lead who oversees a team of technical leads who work on accelerating technical proficiencies and delivery within their portfolio projects. In this role, prepare to get your hands dirty by working closely with software development and architecture teams to provide the best technical solutions using the full complement of multi-skilled technical leads within your team. Yes, you will actually code and build solutions! Your primary duties and focus are on the equipment, technology, and infrastructure that support the portfolios complex technical landscape
Qualification:
- Lead a team of technical leads across a broad technical domain (includes but not limited to software development, business intelligence, QA) setting the standards for leading innovation through hand on actions.
- Provide technical leadership to architects and design large projects and new products, focusing on long-term technology strategies.
- Work in close collaboration with Head of Portfolio, Product Delivery Managers and Product Managers in providing the best technical solutions that will achieve target state and equally deliver an enriched customer experience.
- Create a collaborative and inclusive engineering team culture where members continuously improve their skills, while ensuring they feel connected to our product, customers, and overall company results.
- Mentor the professional development of each direct report through personal and performance management.
- Identify and track key metrics to improve team management, accountability, productivity, decision making, and achievement of business
- Actively participating to software development teams delivery through assisting in building platforms, prototypes, practical new technology adoption
- Implementing features, technology, and process that move us towards industry best practices, improving on scalability, efficiency, reliability, and security
- Assist with incident resolution, review, and management thereof
- Hosting regular learning incident review "whiteboard" sessions
Skills & Experience:
Skills
- At least 5 years hands-on software development experience.
- At least 5 years hands-on experience in a configurable web based platform
- At least 2 years experience in building on Cloud Platforms
- Senior developer or Lead in a technology environment for at least 1 year.
