Principal Architect required to join a multi-disciplinary practice based in Belper, Derbyshire. The practice offer numerous services in areas including Architecture, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering and Roads & Infrastructure amongst others.
The Architectural arm of the company is currently flourishing and have won various high profile commissions of late, in sectors that range from Healthcare and Commercial schemes, through to multi-million pound Industrial, Biotechnical & Pharmaceutical projects. The Architectural team requires a Principal Architect with job running experience to join them to manage elements of their ever increasing workload.
As a Principal Architect within the practice, you will have various responsibilities which will include leading a team of Architects & Architectural Technologists, as well as a more hands on approach on live projects. A working knowledge of Revit software is of high importance for this position, and Architects applying for this role will be expected to be able to demonstrate high levels of competence in the use of Revit.
It is essential that the Principal Architect for this role has a wealth of technical experience, as you will be thoroughly checking and monitoring the Revit work of your team which includes Architectural Technicians. The Principal Architect will be assisting the Associate Architects and Architectural Director in the office, with very achievable routes for progression to move into those positions in the future.
Job running experience of large scale commercial projects is essential for this role.
A Principal Architect with the following skills/qualifications would be ideal:
- UK recognised qualifications at Part 1, 2 and 3 level.
- RIBA / ARB
- Approximately 5+ years of industry experience, working within a similar environment.
- A varied background of delivering projects in a range of sectors, including; Healthcare, Industrial and Commercial being desirable.
- At least 3-4 years of Revit usage, and be fully proficient in the package.
- Ability and confidence to lead a small team of staff throughout the project lifecycle.
Salary is negotiable dependant on current experience but is likely to be in the region of 44,000 - 48,000 per annum, alongside a competitive benefits package.
