Our client based in Vaalpark is looking at recruiting a Buyer with experience in the steel or automotive manufacturing industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

Requirements:

Experience: 5 to 10 years
Qualifications: Matric
Professional Registrations: Not required.
Software: Microsoft Office (proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook), Proficient in Sage Evolution (Important)
Proficient in English (Crucial) and Afrikaans (Ideal)
Notice period: Immediate.
Experience as a buyer in the large trailer manufacturing and steel industry.

Responsibilities:

Daily purchasing of supplies
Receiving supplies
Negotiating with suppliers for pricing
Invoicing
Stock control

Qualities/Skills:

Excellent communication, numeracy, and computer literacy skills
Identifying problems and implementing preventative strategies to minimize risk
Developing good working relationships and trust with co-workers
Strong problem-solving skills, analytic ability, and detail-oriented
Working well with many different departments and external suppliers
Keeping the end-user/customer in mind
Being results and deadline driven
Proficient in MS Office and Sage Evolution
