Quality Controller

Eskort is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, organized individual to join the Heidelberg site as a Quality Controller.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in development and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System
- Assisting in and performing Food Safety internal audits (HACCP & GMP)
- Filling and documentation, record control.
- Manage pest control
- Prepare documentation for Export
- Arrange product sampling
- Manage personal hygiene program
- Manage maintenance and cleaning schedule
- Conduct daily pre-ops checklist
- Verification of records
- Create COC
- Monitoring of cold chains
- Manage NCR and customer complaints
- Ensure compliance with the SOPs for handling product
- Ensure product moves through warehouse in an efficient manner
- Investigate any quality and food safety issues to identify root cause and raise appropriate corrective action paperwork and ensure issues are addressed and resolved
- Ensure blast freezing process is controlled and managed
Experience
- 1-2 years’ Experience in the Food Industry in Quality Assurance and Food Safety.
- Worked in cold chain warehouse.
Qualifications
- National Diploma/ Degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Consumer Science, Quality management or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Grade 12
- Certification in PRP, HACCP and FSSC 22000 would be advantageous.
