Responsibilities: Ensure the continuous progress of the HSE & FSSC programs Actively promote safety and food safety awareness Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with all HSE standards Conduct HSE / FSSC toolbox talks and daily site walkabouts Submit weekly reports to management Coordinate and support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Food Safety system (FSSC 22000) Develop, implement & sustain the behaviour-based safety Program Conduct weekly/monthly awareness and education sessions Maintain HSE training documentation Implement preventive actions to mitigate incidents, injuries or damages Ensure compliance with all FSSC standards and requirements Awareness of FSSC / Food safety Assist QC manager with Quality reporting/responsibility Assess and follow up on complaints affecting FSSC standards Quality incident reports for internal and external customer use Ensure legal compliance to OHS act and FSSC standards Digitalize HSE/FSSC system as far as possible General admin support duties for the SHEQ environment Requirements: Must have Grade 12 with a pass mark in Mathematics. Tertiary safety related courses or qualifications will be advantageous. Minimum of 5 years experience in the FMCG / Beverage industry. Detailed knowledge of food safety management systems and implementation thereof, including FSSC 22000. Excellent attention to detail and strong administrative skills and be able to work on own. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Report writing.
