Your New Role
As a project manager your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific jobs you are working on.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant standards, policies and procedures.
- Manage multiple projects safely, competently, and effectively to time and budget.
- Manage all financial aspects of projects.
- Produce POs and order plant and all other items relating to the projects you manage.
- Ensure all extra works/variations are costed and invoiced.
- Provide cost value reconciliation for projects/contracts.
- Ensure all sub-contracts are approved in line with the company policies.
- Ensure project meets all current legislation HASAWA, NRSWA C.O.S.H.H. etc.
- Assist in costing schemes for quotation as required.
- Identify and inform Directors / Senior Managers of commercial opportunities as appropriate.
- Review and monitor programme schedule using Project Management tools.
- Work in accordance with project programs to ensure dates and milestones are achieved to ensure projects are completed on time, first time
Essential Qualifications/Skills/Experience
- Experienced as a Project Manager with a proven track record within the ICP/DNO sector.
- ICP experience at 11kV is essential & 33kV is desirable, but not essential
Desirable Qualifications/Skills/Experience
- Technical status and a qualified electrical engineer would be desirable, but not essential.
- A Manager who remains calm under pressure, can communicate with internal and external parties.
- Good time management and an ability to plan ahead.
- An individual who will pursue high standards, recognise improvement opportunities and learn from experience.
- An individual that takes a personal pride in making improvements.
- An individual who is aware of the operational needs of the client, whilst taking account the commercial implications
- A customer focused individual who is a team player and a self-motivated
