A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR AT THE PRINCIPAL YORK
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, we are looking for someone who enjoys variation and has a flexible approach to work.
This is a part time position, 24 hours per week, spread over 3 days. There is flexibility on what days these will be.
As Human Resources Administrator, you can expect your working week to include the following:
- Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including advertising, sifting applications for hiring managers, and arranging interviews, and ensuring applicants are commuicated with.
- Sendin correct onboarding documentation, Right to Work Checks and ensuring all details are transferred to our HR Systems correctly.
- To take full responsibility of the HR administration by ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company standards, policies and procedures.
- Organising monthly new starter inductions.
- Managing HR paperwork, probationary reviews, return to works to ensure these are completed and filed.
- Managing Employee of the Month Process.
- Organising, and delivering a quarterly enagement calendar.
- Drafting all HR communication, including invites, probationary letters and amendment to contract letters.
- Ensuring notice boards are kept up to date with relevant information, and all statutory notice boards are up to date.
- Supporting the HR Manager with weekly and monthly reports.
Supporting the HR Manager with Monthly Payroll administration.

To suceed in the role of Human Resources Administrator you will need the following qualities and skills:
- Experience of working within hospitality and/or HR is preferred.
- To have a good understanding of all current employment legislation to ensure decision and advise given is correct, appropriate and in accordance with the law in conjection with the HR Manager.
