We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Customer Care Administration Clerk to join our valued team and provide support to our clients.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Customer Care Agent / Administration Clerk, you will be the first point of contact with the clients, providing them with information, assistance, and support regarding their policies. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining an accurate client database, as well as monitoring and verifying payments of premiums on a monthly basis. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our clients feel supported and valued, especially during difficult times.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person with empathy and professionalism.
- Assist clients with policy information, claims processing, and payment queries.
- Guide clients through the claims process, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive client database ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Regularly update and manage client records, including policy details, contact information, and interaction history.
- Monitor and verify the payment of premiums on a monthly basis and follow up with clients regarding any overdue payments.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide clients with information about additional services and policy options.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager, claims, and underwriting teams to ensure the clients' needs are met.
Requirements
- Matric with a tertiary qualification in customer service, insurance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in database management and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Ability to monitor and manage payment records with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
