Purpose Statement
- To manage the operational functioning of the branch efficiently and effectively in accordance with set standards and processes.
- To execute the Business and People implementation plans in the branch in order to:
- Maintain client service excellence utilizing the Global One product offering.
- Build a healthy, high-performance team.
Experience
Minimum:
- At least 2 - 3 years’ client service experience within a retail/financial services/banking environment.
- 1 - 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/team leader role within a retail/financial services/banking environment.
- Experience coaching and developing team members and overseeing activities of a branch or team.
Ideal:
- 4 years supervisory/first line management experience.
- Experience of building and maintaining key relationships at a management level.
- Experience in an operational management role within a retail/financial services/banking environment.
Qualifications (Minimum)
- Grade 12 National Certificate/Vocational.
- National Certificate in Banking or similar.
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
- National Higher Certificate in Banking.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in similar or commerce.
Knowledge
Minimum:
Knowledge and understanding of:
- Leadership and people management principles.
- Business performance drivers at this level.
- Retail/consumer service environment.
- Banking products and services.
- Business Processes (Marketing/Financial Management/Human Resource Management).
Ideal:
- Internal business processes and procedures.
- Organisational Policies, including (but not limited to) the Credit Policy.

- Interpersonal & Relationship management skills.
- Commercial Thinking skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook).

- Must have fingerprints which are detectable/recognisable on Capitec Bank's internal electronic banking system.
