As Health and Welfare Coordinator you will work alongside the HWO to implement practical solutions to maintain the health and safety of students with medical conditions. This role is essential to meet requirements in ‘supporting students and staff’ and is fundamental in ensuring a solid base for student achievement and mental wellbeing.This is a fixed-term 12-month contract with the potential to be made permanent, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a vital role in student and staff health and wellbeing at The Sheffield College.Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting the HWO and Academy areas to conduct risk assessments for studentsLiaising with students, parents or guardiansRespond and support further actions relating to First Aid or Mental First Aid incidentsDelivering and assessing First Aid, Emergency First Aid, and Mental Health First Aid training for staffMonitor First Aid Room and ResourcesUndertake departmental risk assessment audits (medical conditions)Champion our commitment to putting students firstExemplify our values of Fairness, Respect & EqualitySkills & KnowledgeWe strive to be an inclusive employer and welcome applications from individuals who believe they can contribute effectively to this role.
