Responsibilities:
* Ensure bank accounts are processed and interest is allocated
? Review, prepare, and post prepaid expense journal entries
? Agree loan statements to Xero
? Update loan schedules
? Review payroll expenses – allocate unallocated wages
? Split payroll expenses per division
? Review unallocated transactions
? Split and allocate VAT and PAYE payments per division
? Assist with weekly and monthly livestock reconciliations
? Assist with quarterly inventory journals
? Check and follow up on draft debtors/creditors transactions
? Follow up on outstanding amounts receivable
? Prepare, post and allocate divisional recharges
? Prepare monthly intercompany loan reconciliation
? Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
? Assist with other/ad hoc accounting tasks
? Prepare weekly production report
? Liase with farm managers for weekly livestock information
? Obtain quarterly inventory on hand information from farm managers
? Work with farm managers to resolve any stock/inventory queries
? Obtain monthly divisional expenditure information from operations manager
? Review monthly divisional recharges and resolve queries with operations manager
? Take minutes of meetings
Requirements and skills:
? 2 – 3 years’ bookkeeping/accounting experience
? SAICA/SAIPA article experience advantageous
? Advanced competency in MS Excel
? Intermediate level of competency in MS O?ice Outlook and Word
? Proficiency in Xero accounting software
? Relevant accounting qualification preferred
? Great attention to detail
? Good analytical, numerical and presentation skills
? Deadline driven
