Description
The HSE Manager will form a crucial part of the senior leadership team and will:
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures
- Conducting regular safety audits and inspections
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislations
- Providing HSE training to staff and maintaining training records
- Investigating any HSE incidents and implementing corrective actions
- Reporting on HSE performance to senior management
- Managing relationships with external HSE bodies and stakeholders
- Reduce sites waste and environmental impact
- Develop and drive the EH&S plan for the site in pursuit of HSE
Profile
The successful HSE Manager will possess a range of the following:
- Professional HSE qualifications, ideally NEBOSH and IMEA
- Proven experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry (food advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and standards
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in risk assessment and incident investigation
- A strong understanding of UK/EU Health, Safety & Environment legislations within a manufacturing environment
