Due to a period of exciting growth, they are looking to appoint a Part Time Health & Safety Officer to work closely with wider function to improve company culture.On offer:£16 per hour – 25 hours per weekFlexible hoursCompany pensionWorking Mon - FriThe role:Reporting to the Operations Director, the Health & Safety Officer will support the company to comply with health & safety legislation and work to establish a health & safety culture within the business.The successful candidate is tasked with the responsibility of identifying potential hazards, creating policies that ensure a safe workplace, and looking out for areas of improvement. They will also be the go to for staff and line managers to advise on health & safety matters.The key responsibilities of the role include:Act as a first point of contact for colleagues seeking adviceSupport the company during safety auditsCreate health and safety plans according to legal requirementsInspect internal equipment regularly to ensure complianceInvestigate accidents to discover cause and work on preventionCandidate requirements:The business is looking for an individual who ideally has experience within the food industry. They are also willing to consider candidates from a manufacturing background. You must be a strong communicator, able to work in a fast paced environment, and able to manage a varied workload.Experience working in a health & safety role at a similar levelNEBOSH QualificationConfident and assertive communication skillsConfident engaging with operational teams
