An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Connect Customer Advisor Team.You would become part of an ambitious team delivering an invaluable service to the residents of Middlesbrough.Connect is a Middlesbrough Council service which delivers the Community alarm services and Telecare services to people across Middlesbrough. We offer help and support to older, vulnerable and disabled people to help them to remain safe and independent in their own home.You will provide a high standard of person centred care when answering the calls on the community alarm system. You will assess the service user's needs, offer support, guidance and advice and then decide on the most appropriate action to be taken.This may include contacting the emergency services, a responder nominated or the Connect Response Officers.In this role, good communication skills are vital. Responding with empathy is important as well as providing the reassurance the service user needs.This is a part time vacancy working 36.56 hours per week.The above post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.Salary: £25,119 - £25,979 pro rata
