RESPONSIBILITY OF JOB: The FMS Maintenance - Technical Lead will provide technical support and quality monitoring on the company's sites, and spot check factory acceptance tests conducted at the offices to ensure that all company products meet consistent quality standards. Duties include developing and implementing quality control tests, visiting sites to conduct audits where company systems are installed, conduct investigations on sites and provide professional reports to customers and company management. MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS (KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS): The core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Liaise very closely with Software and Technical teams, and ensure consistent collaboration between various teams, including OEMs. Be the first point of contact for the company's maintenance technicians regarding technical challenges encountered on sites. Provide consistent technical support to the company's maintenance technicians on site. Ensure effective communication to the company's Technicians on new products, upgrades and software new releases. Continuously collate customer feedback in terms of systems features and functionalities and provide such information to the company's Software Leader and Technical Manager. Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate the company's products and equipment on site, and the offices. Ensure that all company products adhere to minimum quality standards. Understanding customer and stakeholder requirements to develop effective quality control processes. Devising installation and maintenance specifications for the company's products and processes, specifically where the company has maintenance Technicians. Monitoring the company's Sub-contractors maintenance procedures and monitoring their compliance to company quality standards. Continuously monitor installation and implementation processes and curating in-house quality policies and procedures. Preparing reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing data related to the company's product failures and generate professional reports. Provide training on the company's new products to maintenance technicians and new Technicians joining the company. Conduct consistent quality inspections and assessment of installation and maintenance techniques on different sites. Monitor frequency of products failures on sites, conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective measures. Ensure that consistent quality standards are maintained through the entire installation stages on site. Perform fault diagnostics and error analysis on company equipment. Assist the company's stakeholders with technical advice on company's products. Comply with all the company's customers rules and regulations such as health and safety and adhere to all safe working procedures. FORMAL TRAINING REQUIRED: Technical National Diploma or bachelors degree compulsory and not negotiable. Compulsory bachelors degree or National Diploma in electrical, Mechanical or Electronics engineering fields. 5-10 years experience in a Quality/Technical support or leadership position a must. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB FUNCTIONS: High level effective communication skills are critical. Ability to compile and provide professional reports is an absolute requirement. Demonstratable experience in leadership is critical. Ability to make decisions independently and creatively. Strong good work ethics. Ability to interact with customers at all levels of the organization. Good command of English language is compulsory. Ability to work independently and within a team is critical. General understanding of industrial communication strategies for devices such as RS232, RS485, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, radio modems etc General understanding of the assembly of electronic equipment Must be able to understand wiring diagrams and device manuals to troubleshoot these devices. Must be computer literate. Must be able to install drivers and tools used for the configuration and monitoring of these devices. Basic understanding of mechanical devices like solenoid valves and meters would be a great advantage. Must be able to prioritise his/her own tasks and the tasks of others and keep track of these tasks for reporting purposes. Must exhibit excellent problem-solving skills.
