Learning MentorPosition Overview:
As a Learning Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the academic and personal development of students. Your role will involve working closely with teachers, parents, and students to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of young learners.
Learning MentorKey Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized learning plans.
- Foster positive relationships with students to encourage their engagement and enthusiasm for learning.
- Collaborate with teachers to identify and address students' learning barriers.
- Support students in developing their social and emotional skills.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist in creating a safe and supportive classroom environment.
Learning MentorQualifications and Skills:
- Relevant experience in an educational setting or working with children.
- Strong understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student development.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant qualifications, SEN qualifications) are desirable but not essential.
