Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the successful team in a key role, involving bookkeeping, accounts preparation, VAT returns, and other financial services for a varied client base across Kent and the South East. In this role, you will add value to clients, build relationships, and contribute to the growth of the firm.
Our client has offices in New Romney, Maidstone, and Dymchurch, with this position being based in New Romney. They have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services across a broad range of industries and client sizes. As part of the team, you will handle a variety of tasks, including:
- Preparing financial accounts from underlying books and records.
- Using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and IRIS.
- Liaising directly with clients.
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and final accounts.
- Managing staff.
Requirements:
- Essential experience in bookkeeping and accounts preparation.
- Ideally, you are currently working in practice or have previous practice experience, capable of managing your workload effectively.
