Job Duties: - As an IT Support Technician you will provide technical support to end-users on various IT issues both face to face and via the ticketing system
- Troubleshooting hardware and software problems
- Installing and configuring computer systems
- Setting up new user accounts and profiles
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Ensuring security and data privacy of systems
- Update and ensure the IT inventory is accurate.
- Be responsible for IT stock and equipment, its storage and disposal.
- Working as part of a Helpdesk team of 8, the IT Support Technician will also support their colleagues with technical queries
Required Experience: - Experience within an IT Support Technician role
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and willingness to liaise with users face to face
- Experience working as part of a Helpdesk team
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft desktop system and applications.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and TCP/IP, switching, routing, smtp, proxy servers, DHCO and DNS.
- Knowledge of IT hardware and peripherals and anti-virus software.
- Experience using a ticketing system
- VMWare experience would be beneficial
Working Conditions: - Office-based role with occasional need for evening and weekend work
- Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
