Our client, a leading company specialising in providing innovative solutions for the rail industry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead engineering projects from concept through to completion. In this senior role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and manufacturing of electrical control and distribution panels, providing technical leadership, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding the team, supporting customers, and ensuring that all projects meet the stringent demands of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of electrical control and distribution panels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications
Manage and oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept through to final delivery, including design, technical specifications, procurement, quality assurance and after-care support
Provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex electrical systems, developing practical solutions to meet project challenges
Guide and mentor junior engineers
Work closely with internal teams and external customers, ensuring clear communication and successful project outcomes
Requirements:
Deep understanding and extensive experience with low voltage systems
Proven experience in managing the entire product design lifecycle, particularly within safety-critical industries
Expertise in power distribution systems, with the ability to lead and influence design decisions
A strong passion for developing creative and effective design solutions, with a track record of success in complex projects
Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners
Significant experience in managing and delivering complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
