Position Description
We are looking for a technical project engineer to join a dynamic IT Managed Services team. This is the perfect role for a self-motivated individual with a naturally enquiring mind with industry-relevant experience and the ability to work in a process-driven environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for Server, Cloud and network project implementations. KPI's are driven by dashboards for visibility to implement projects on-time, on-spec and on-budget. Ongoing internal and certification training will be performed to stay relevant in the industry. As the candidate becomes integrated into the business and more proficient, he/she has the opportunity to get involved in other areas of the business.
Role Requirements
- Matric certificate
- Minimum 5-years industry- and role-relevant experience
- Must be willing to learn new skills & technologies
- Must be willing to complete predetermined certifications at regular intervals
Essential Knowledge and/or Experience:
- Technical IT project implementation experience
- Project methodology knowledge and experience
- MCSE Public Cloud experience
- Intermediate understanding of networking
- Basic understanding of the following technologies & principles:
- Private & Public Cloud
- Routing
- Firewalling
- Internet connectivity
- Microsoft 365
- Understanding of Public Cloud platforms and Hyperscalers
Advantageous Certifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technologies and/or computer sciences
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
- ITIL Foundation
- N-Central RMM
- ConnectWise PSA
- Mimecast
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of projects, on-time, on-spec and on-budget
- Meet predetermined project objectives
- Assist in managing the end-to-end project implementation
- Collaborate with the Project Managers
- Maintain accurate and timeous time records
- Timeous processing of project updates
