Key Responsibilities:
- Analysing and compiling data to prepare accurate cost estimates for tenders
- Reviewing specifications and conducting detailed take-offs
- Communicating with internal teams and suppliers to gather necessary information
- Preparing comprehensive reports and presenting estimates to management
- Ensuring all estimates align with industry standards and company policies
- Collaborating with project managers and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions
- Reviewing and incorporating changes in project scope or design into estimates
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and supplier practices
Job Requirements:
- Experience in estimating within the gas mains and services replacement sector
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools
- Understanding of tender processes and financial documentation
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent communication and report writing abilities
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in estimating or related fields
