About the Role
We are growing our renewables product range across the UK & Ireland region and therefore were looking for someone who has knowledge and experience with solar/PV (photovoltaics) products to support our commercial strategy.
As a Technical Sales Manager you will provide expert technical support to customers and to our existing sales team.
You will also be managing key customer accounts from a technical perspective and contributing to the wider commercial and product strategies for our renewable product lines.
This role is varied and involves
- delivering training
- Visiting sites ready to start installing our PV products to support installers
- Producing designs for customers looking to use our PV products
- Handle queries from site staff and investigate complaints.
- Attending trade shows and visiting merchants to promote PV and renewables.
The roll will involve frequent travel across the UK & Ireland region. A company car/allowance is provided to support you.
Hours of Work: Mon to Fri, 8.30m to 5pm
About You
You will have strong experience with renewable products and a passion for customer excellence.
We are open minded about your background. Perhaps you are a technical professional with experience in design/training for PV products looking to be more client facing, or maybe you are a sales professional with technical and design skills looking for something different.
This could be a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both the technical and client facing side of the business.
You will also have:
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Qualifications in a technical related subject (ideally degree level) or comparable experience within a roofing or electrical related role.
- Experience delivering training.
- Experience of working on or attending construction sites
- Ability to read and interpret 2D housing plans, elevations, and details.
- Technically minded and able to learn product and system information
- Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel regularly
Desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of PV/renewable systems and their installation.
- An understanding of PV supporting products (such as inverters and batteries)
- Working knowledge of air source heat pumps.
- Qualified electrician and/or MCS accreditation
- On site experience in the installation of roofing and/or PV/renewable systems.
