Job & Company Description: Responsibility for planning, implementation and managing of finance activities of group.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Process journals
- Prepare payment packs
- Maintain cashbook
- Management and training of finance staff
- Prepare reconciliations and inter-company transactions
- Respond to accounting queries
- Prepare cash flow forecast / payment summaries
- VAT reconciliations and submissions
- Consolidate finance information
- Attend to stock counts
- Monthly management reports
- Prepare financial reports and annual budgets
- Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts
- Liaise with operations business units and involvement in the financial side of operations
- Analyse and identify opportunities for cost reduction and systems enhancement
- Establish finance and operational strategies
- Project accounting
Education: - BCom degree in Finance or Accounting essential
- Honours degree preferred
Job Experience & Skills Required: - Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- 3 to 5 years post articles experience in a full function finance role essential
- 3+ years managerial experience essential
- Understanding of a product / stock environment essential
- Experience with cost control and financial analysis essential
- Understanding of BI Tools essential
- Strong analytical skills
