Solar PV Electrician

Full knowledge of electrical control systems, procedures to perform routine preventive maintenance and responds to call outs and breakdowns when required.

Responsibilities:

Electrical Installation
Maintenance
Wiring of electrical circuits
Ensuring compatibility of components
Testing and fault finding on distribution boards, generators, change over switches, and transformers
Performing troubleshooting on pumps, boreholes, lights, and switches
Installation of LV products
Carries out preventative maintenance and inspects electrical systems
Replacing old wiring and insulated cables and ensuring compliance with codes to issue COC
Maintains OHAS Act requirements in the field at all times, adheres to standards, procedures, housekeeping, health, and safety procedures

Requirements:

Matric
Relevant Technical Qualification
Electrical Trade Test Certificate
Wireman’s license
NQF Level 4 - Electrical
Valid driver's license
Reliable own transport to get to work
Strong electrical maintenance skills
Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Electrician / performing electrical repairs
Excellent physical condition and able to do standby
Good communication skills - fluent in English (read and write)
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to distinguish colours
Ability to plan and organize
Ability to work at heights

Starting Date: Immediately
SALARY: R10,000.00 - R12,000.00 per month
